AFTERCARE

Tegaderm/recovery derm

If using tegaderm to heal , leave bandage on for 3-4 days then remove in the shower . do not peel like a bandaid, pull from corner and peel parallel to the skin . 

Clean skin with dial gold hand pump soap and as hot as water as you can stand until it no longer feels slick or slimy and the water no longer stings the skin.

Pat dry with a clean paper towel not a bath towel as fibers may come off and aggravate the tattoo

24 hours after unwrapping the tattoo you can use an unscented lotion like lubriderm,curel or aveeno , a palm size tattoo would need about a pea sized dollop rubbed in with no greasiness left on the skin  

traditional healing

The healing is the same as above the only difference being leaving your tattoo wrapped for only 2-4 hours. Follow the same after care instructions as above

Also no pools ,no baths, no lakes , no jacuzzis showers are fine until the tattoo is healed . Also keep fresh tattoos out of the sun and no sunscreen on it until its healed .
